Call & SMS Terms
Why you might get a call or text from Emergency Safety Planning, what it will say, and how to stop it.
Effective October 6, 2026
1. The program
Emergency Safety Planning Alerts is operated by MML Inc. d/b/a Memorial Media Links. Text messages are sent on its behalf by Gray-Works Technologies & Solutions LLC. The program sends automated voice calls, text messages and emails to people whom an organization, such as a school, employer, clinic, congregation, nonprofit or municipal building, has listed on its emergency response roster. Calls and texts are sent only when that organization starts an emergency activation or a drill, or calls its command team.
How you are enrolled. You do not sign up with us directly. Your organization adds you to its roster with your phone number and email address and is responsible for obtaining your consent to be contacted about emergencies and drills.
Texts are optional. Agreeing to receive text messages is not a condition of using Emergency Safety Planning or of any purchase, and each person can decline or stop texts at any time. Someone who declines texts can still be reached by call or email if they choose.
2. What you will receive
- Emergency activations: notice that an incident has been declared at your organization and what you are being asked to do.
- Drills:the same messages for a practice exercise, marked as a drill. Drill texts and emails begin and end with “This is a drill,” and drill calls announce that they are a drill.
3. Sample message
Emergency Safety Planning alert: Cedar Hill Academy emergency notification. Severe weather: Tornado warning for the campus. Location: Main building. Your assigned role is Safety Officer. Move to your shelter area. Reply STOP to opt out.
4. Numbers, frequency and cost
Texts are sent from (888) 995-9907. Calls come from (859) 295-5238.
Message frequency varies with the number of incidents and drills your organization runs. Message and data rates may apply. We do not charge recipients for messages.
5. Automated and AI-voice calls
Calls are placed automatically and are spoken by an artificial, AI-generated voice, not by a live person. Calls may be recorded and transcribed so your organization has a record of who was reached during an incident or drill.
6. How to stop or get help
Reply STOP to any text to stop receiving texts from us. You will get one message confirming you have been unsubscribed. Reply START to resubscribe. Reply HELP for help, or email support@emergencysafetyplanning.com.
To stop calls or emails, ask the organization that listed you to turn off that channel for you; each of calls, texts and email can be switched off separately, and once off you are skipped in every activation and drill. You can also email us and we will pass your request to the organization.
Please think before opting out. If you opt out, you will not receive emergency notifications from your organization through that channel, including during a real emergency.
7. Delivery is not guaranteed
Mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Delivery depends on your carrier, your device, your coverage and the accuracy of the number your organization entered. These messages are not a substitute for 911, a fire alarm or any public warning system. See our Disclaimer.
8. Privacy
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text-messaging opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third party. Your number is used only to deliver your organization’s emergency and drill messages. Read our full Privacy Policy.
9. Other terms
Organizations that use this program agree to our Terms of Service, including their obligation to obtain consent and honor opt-outs. We may update these Call & SMS Terms by posting a new version on this page.
